Vice President of Communications for Alumnae Society
Hi! My name is Danielle Kyei, I was the founding Vice-President and interim International Liaison for the Alpha Xi Chapter at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia. I graduated in 2017 majoring in Political Science and a minoring in theatre. Currently, I live in Vancouver and I work for the Canadian Government as a Constituency Assistant for a Member of Parliament. I am also a student at Thompson Rivers University, working towards my second Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. My hobbies include, discussing politics, trying new food places with my boyfriend, Cosimo, playing volleyball, makeup, watching The Office and shopping!
I got involved with Kappa Beta Gamma through my local sorority. At the time, we felt that we were ready to expand and be recognized though a reputable Greek organization. We researched various groups and found that KBG would be our best fit. We became a colony in the fall of 2016 and crossed over in April 2017.
After I graduated, I wanted to get more involved with KBG International because I felt that I didn't get a chance to experience KBG as an active. In the fall of 2017, I served on the International Board as the Vice-President of Membership Development and currently, I am the KBG International Alumnae Society Board as Vice-President of Communications. KBG has definitely provided me with fun and challenging opportunities, experiences I never thought I would have the chance to have and, I've developed close relationships with sisters throughout Canada and the United States. I am fortunate to expand my Delta Pi Upsilon family tree with 3 littles from Tennessee, Alabama and Ontario, Canada I hope to be a big. I am thankful that our chapter was fortunate to be a part of an organization that is truly unique.
